How to start a Company Page on LinkedIn is another key area in the world of Online Marketing. LinkedIn, as most of you, or almost all of you know, is a professional network where professionals interact with each other.
LinkedIn has similar or almost the same functionalities like Facebook, Twitter and many other channels, with the only difference that its focus is on business professionals who wish to make connections, interact or expand their business.
When accessing LinkedIn for the first time, you have to create a personal profile account, listing your personal details, occupation status, and other key professional data of yours.
Thereafter, should you have a business or company, you can always create a Company Page where you can demonstrate to the users your business activities. You can create a range of Company Pages depending on the type of businesses you have.
Let’s get started by first entering the LinkedIn main page and creating your personal profile.
To start with LinkedIn, you must click the “Join now” button and proceed with filling in all the necessary details to create a personal account.

You will then be asked to fill in your Email or phone number and a password, and click the “Agree & Join” button.

Upon creating your personal LinkedIn account a dashboard like the one on the image below will appear.

After creating successfully your personal LinkedIn profile, you then move onto the first step of creating a Company Page.
Therefore, the first step to consider is clicking on the icon “Work” and then clicking the “Create a Company Page” as per the image below.

The second step, is to decide on the type of page you wish to create, either Company, Showcase page and / or Educational institution. The most common one is Company selection or Educational institution.

Upon choosing your page type, you then proceed with filling in all the necessary fields, thus completing the third step of the process. View the fields as per the image below.

To complete the third step, some further fields must be completed. Upon completion you then click the “Create page” button.

And your Company Page has now been created. The Company page is made of four sections. Currently, as per the image below you can see the “Home” section. In here you can create your first post by clicking the “Post” button, View your page as a member, as well as click on the “Admin tool” link where a drop-down list will appear with key tools for managing your page deeper as an administrator.

By scrolling further down the “Home” section, you can see as per the image below that you can edit your Company Page cover, you can edit your page with the “Edit Page” button as well as share your page with the “Share Page” button.
In addition, you can create your first post or posts, you can add photos, videos, polls and write articles.

Furthermore, you can also add various events by clicking the “+” icon or click the “Show all events” link to view all events in place.
Kindly note, there are even more functionalities that you can go through and explore in your free time.

Moving onto the “Content” section, you can select upon three menu items the data and information you wish to know more about, such as “Trending Articles”, “Employee Milestones” and “Company News”

In the “Analytics” section you can view statistical data regarding your visitors, key updates, followers, competitors, and employee advocacy.

The last section, “Activity”, is mainly concentrated on topics such as requests, comments, mentions, posts, shares, reactions, and analytics.
Let’s take the example with the “Mentions” button or link where you can view if someone mentioned your company in their comments.

Last but not least, upon accessing your personal LinkedIn profile, you can find your Company Page by clicking the arrow as per the image below, and then select to view your Company Page.
